From March 22 to 24, the first training session for the study of the basic theories of Marxism, organized by the Writing Group for Ideological and Theoretical Works of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), was held at the CASS Miyun Training Center; the office of the Writing Group (situated within the Institute of Marxism Studies) was responsible for the undertaking. From August 12 to 19, the "China Path Australia Forum," jointly organized by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, the University of Newcastle in Australia, and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, was held in Australia and New Zealand. Over one hundred scholars from China, Australia, and New Zealand attended the conference, engaging in lively discussions around topics such as the "Belt and Road Initiative" [1]. On September 5, the fifth "China-Japan Socialist Scholars Forum," jointly hosted by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the Socialist Association of Japan, was held in Beijing. The theme of the forum was "Das Kapital, the October Revolution, and Contemporary Socialism." From September 29 to 30, the "Ninth National Forum for Deans of Marxist Academies," hosted by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, the CASS Division of Marxist Studies, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the National University of Defense Technology, was held in Changsha, Hunan. The theme of the conference was "The Veracity and Popularization of Marxism and the Critique of Erroneous Trends of Thought" [2]. From November 1 to 4, the "Fourth International Forum on Socialism," jointly hosted by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, the Institute of Philosophy of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, and the Lao Academy of Social Sciences, was held in Guilin, Guangxi. Over one hundred scholars from China, Vietnam, and Laos conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges on theoretical and practical issues of socialist reform centered on the theme "Socialist Reform (Doi Moi/Renovation) [3]: Retrospect and Prospect."
