Luo Yuting: The Top Priority for Advancing the Construction of the Discipline of Marxist Theory in the New Era | Marxism Research Network

Luo Yuting, Honorary Dean of the School of Marxism at Xinjiang University ^[1], argues that to realize this core objective, it is necessary to correctly understand and properly handle four sets of important relationships: the relationship between subjectivity and originality in the construction of an autonomous knowledge system for the discipline of Marxist theory; the relationship between universality and particularity in the construction of an autonomous knowledge system for the discipline of Marxist theory; the relationship between holism and integration in the construction of an autonomous knowledge system for the discipline of Marxist theory; and the relationship between disciplinarity and academicity in the construction of an autonomous knowledge system for the discipline of Marxist theory. The proper handling of these four sets of relationships is both an inherent requirement for the discipline's autonomous innovation and an important guarantee for promoting the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism.
