The Academy of Marxism Earnestly Conducts Educational and Practical Activities for the Party's Mass Line

The Institute of Marxism Studies (CASS) has earnestly carried out the "Educational Practice Activity on the Party’s Mass Line" ^[1]. Since the launch of this activity, the Institute has solidly implemented its various components. On the afternoon of July 23, the Institute convened a mobilization rally for the "Educational Practice Activity on the Party’s Mass Line," attended by all personnel. Director Cheng Enfu ^[2] presided over the meeting, Party Committee Secretary Deng Chundong delivered the mobilization speech, and Zhang Guanzi, leader of the CASS Third Steering Group and Director of the Bureau of Personnel and Education, attended and spoke. At the meeting, Deng Chundong conveyed the spirit of the "Speech at the CASS Mobilization Rally for the Educational Practice Activity on the Party’s Mass Line" delivered by Wang Weiguang, President and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CASS, as well as the "Implementation Plan for the Educational Practice Activity on the Party’s Mass Line" of both CASS and the Institute of Marxism Studies. He emphasized that carrying out this educational practice activity is a major decision made by the 18th National Congress of the CPC ^[3]. The Party Central Committee and the CASS Party Leadership Group attach great importance to it. Every Party branch, every Party member—and especially cadres at the division level and above—at the Institute must raise their awareness and immerse themselves in the activity with a proactive attitude. It is essential to grasp the work requirements and core principles of the educational practice activity to ensure it proceeds in the correct direction. Implementation must be prioritized to strive for positive outcomes, ensuring a new outlook in the spiritual state of the staff, a new transformation in academic and work styles, and a new level of improvement in overall work.

On the afternoon of August 28, Party Committee Secretary and Director Deng Chundong presided over a meeting for all personnel of the Institute. the meeting conveyed and studied the important speeches of Xi Jinping and other central leading comrades at the National Conference on Public Communications and Ideology and the National Conference on Organizational Work. It also covered the speech by Comrade Liu Yunshan at the third meeting of the Central Leading Group for the Educational Practice Activity on the Party’s Mass Line, the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in the First Batch of Educational Practice Activities" issued by the Central Leading Group, the spirit of the CASS Summer Work Meeting held from August 13 to 15, and the spirit of the CASS Party Leadership Group Enlarged Meeting on August 26. At the meeting, Deng Chundong briefly reviewed the work of the first phase of the Institute’s "Educational Challenge Practice Activity on the Party’s Mass Line" and made overall arrangements for the work of the second phase (identifying problems and conducting criticism). He requested that each branch earnestly carry out all work in this stage, providing practical opinions and suggestions for the Institute to further strengthen style construction, thereby preparing for a successful Democratic Life Meeting ^[4] of the Party Committee and the introduction and refinement of relevant institutional systems.
