Academic Conferences for the Third Quarter
On the morning of July 1, the Institute held the 279th Marxism Academic Seminar Series. The theme was "'Social Perspectives' Youth Academic Salon and the Department of Basic Principles' Theme Party Day [1] Activity (I)—The Chinese Dream: What Kind of Dream?" The meeting was co-hosted by the Department of Basic Principles and the project team from the CASS Center for Survey and Data Information. Yang Jing, leader of the Youth Study Group of the Department of Basic Principles, and Wang Lingyan from the Data Center project team presided over the meeting. Keynote speeches were delivered by Li Chunhua, Zhang Jiangang, Peng Wutang, Wang Xiaohong, and Liang Haifeng from the Department of Basic Principles, as well as Wang Ka, head of the Survey and Analysis Department of the Data Center project team.
On the morning of July 2, the Institute held the 280th Marxism Academic Seminar Series and the "'Marx and Engels' Thought and the Contemporary World' Forum (II)—Class and Stratification Theory and the Evolution of China's Social Structure." The meeting was hosted by the Department of Basic Principles.
On the morning of July 9, the Institute held the 281st Marxism Academic Seminar Series. The theme was "Report on the Frontiers of Domestic Mao Zedong Research since 2012." Jin Minqing from the Department of Sinicized Marxism presided, and Wang Yiqiu, Zheng Ping, Wang Yonghao, and Yu Xiaorei delivered keynote reports.
On the morning of July 24, the Institute held the 282nd Marxism Academic Seminar Series and the seminar on "The Current State and Trends of the Discipline of the History of Marxist Development." Luo Wendong from the Department of Marxist Development presided. Qin Xuan, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Teaching and Research (Jiaoxue yu Yanjiu) and professor at the School of Marxism at Renmin University of China, and Heng Lin from the Department of Marxist Development, delivered keynote speeches.
On the morning of July 25, the Institute held the 283rd Marxism Academic Seminar Series. The theme was "An Informal Discussion on the Relationship between Scientific Socialism and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics." Liu Shuchun from the Department of the International Communist Movement presided, and CASS Member [2] Li Chongfu delivered the keynote speech.
On August 12, the Institute held the 284th Marxism Academic Seminar Series and the "Fourth Forum on the Sinicization of Marxism: Mao Zedong and the Sinicization of Marxism." The meeting was hosted by the Department of Sinicized Marxism.
On the morning of August 27, the Institute held the 285th Marxism Academic Seminar Series. The theme was "A Study of Volume 47 of the Collected Works of Marx and Engels." Yu Bin from the Department of Basic Principles presided, and Sun Yingshuai and Zhang Wei delivered keynote reports.
On the morning of September 6, the Institute held the 286th Marxism Academic Seminar Series. The theme was "New Strategies for Latin American Liberation." It was co-hosted by the Department of the International Communist Movement and the editorial department of International Critical Thought (Guoji Sixiang Pinglun). Liu Shuchun presided, and Mario Toer, Professor of Political Sociology at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, delivered the keynote report.
On the morning of September 10, the Institute held the 287th Marxism Academic Seminar Series. The theme was "A Study of Volume 47 of the Collected Works of Marx and Engels." Yu Bin from the Department of Basic Principles presided, and Zhu Yiyi and Liang Haifeng delivered keynote reports.
On the morning of September 16, the Institute held the 288th Marxism Academic Seminar Series. The theme was "Western Left-wing Thinkers on the Concept of Communism." Feng Yanli from the Department of Foreign Marxism presided, and Fan Chunyan delivered the keynote report.
On the morning of September 17, the Institute held the 289th Marxism Academic Seminar Series. The theme was "The Practical Impact and Reflections on the System of the Integration of Church and State in Tibet's Agricultural and Pastoral Areas." Jin Minqing from the Department of Sinicized Marxism presided, and Chen Yalian delivered the keynote report.
On September 24, the Institute held the 290th Marxism Academic Seminar Series and the academic seminar on "The International Communist Movement: History and Reality." The meeting was hosted by the Department of the International Communist Movement.
