The Academy of Marxism Holds a Seminar on the "Party's Mass Line Education and Practice Activity"
On the morning of August 9, Comrade Deng Chundong, Party Committee Secretary and President of the Institute of Marxism Studies (Academy of Marxism), presided over the "Symposium on the Party’s Mass Line Education and Practice Activity" in Conference Room 1011.
The theme of the symposium was: to successfully conduct the education and practice activity, further strengthen the building of work styles [1], and promote the Innovation Project [2] and other various tasks. At the meeting, seven representatives—representing the five research departments, the editorial department of Marxist Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu), and the administrative offices of the Institute of Marxism Studies—delivered written statements. Participants reported on the progress of the education and practice activity within their respective departments and shared their insights regarding the importance, necessity, and urgency of the activity. They offered several valuable reflections and suggestions tailored to the actual conditions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and the Institute of Marxism Studies.
Finally, Comrade Deng Chundong delivered a concluding summary. He pointed out that the symposium was highly successful and achieved its intended results. He requested that all departments, in accordance with the arrangements of the Party Committee, down-to-earthly [3] implement the tasks for each subsequent stage of the activity. In particular, he emphasized that the Institute of Marxism Studies must consciously shoulder its social responsibility and actively leverage its strengths to write substantial theoretical articles. By projecting its own voice throughout society and guiding public opinion with correct theoretical perspectives, the Institute shall provide theoretical support for the entire Party to successfully carry out the education and practice activity.
Nearly 30 people attended the meeting, including heads of the research departments, research offices, and editorial departments of the Institute of Marxism Studies, as well as division-level [4] cadres from the administrative offices.
