Deng Chundong attends the signing ceremony for the second round of strategic cooperation between CASS and Ningbo and the symposium for academic inspections by CASS members.
On the afternoon of October 31, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and the city of Ningbo held a signing ceremony for their second round of strategic cooperation and confirmed the establishment of a Ningbo workstation for CASS Academic Division Members [1]. Following the meeting, from November 1 to 3, Wang Weiguang, President and Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group [2] of CASS, led a delegation of CASS Academic Division Members on a three-day academic inspection tour in Ningbo.
The event was attended by Zhao Shengxuan, Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of CASS; Liu Qi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee; CASS Vice Presidents Li Jie, Zhang Jiang, and Li Peilin; Zhang Yingwei, head of the Discipline Inspection Group dispatched to CASS by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI); Liu Guozhong, former Vice President of CASS and Academic Division Member; Ru Xin, former Executive Vice President of CASS and Academic Division Member; and Lu Ziyue, Deputy Secretary of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor. Yu Hongyi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Propaganda Department, presided over the meeting.
Zhao Shengxuan and Lu Ziyue signed the second-round strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of their respective parties. Li Peilin and Vice Mayor Zhang Minghua signed the agreement for the joint construction of the Ningbo workstation for Academic Division Members.
Five years ago, CASS and Ningbo signed their first-round strategic cooperation framework agreement. Over the past five years, CASS has collaborated with 13 government departments (research units) and five undergraduate institutions in our city, jointly establishing 17 research centers and two research bases in Ningbo. They have successively completed more than 300 collaborative research projects and jointly trained a total of 62 master’s and doctoral students with Ningbo University, with 20 supervisors appointed by both sides.
The Strategic Cooperation Office between CASS and Ningbo is located within the Institute of Marxism Studies. Deng纯东 (Deng Chundong), Director of the Strategic Cooperation Office and President and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies, attended the meeting.
