The 3rd Academic Forum on the Sinicization of Marxism was held
On January 4, 2013, the Department of Sinicization of Marxism Research within the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) held the "Third Academic Forum on the Sinicization of Marxism" in Beijing, centered on the theme "The Sinicization of Marxism: History and Laws." More than 50 experts and scholars from various institutions, including the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Central Party School of the CPC, Peking University, Jilin University, Capital University of Economics and Business, and Ningbo University, attended the meeting. Li Shenming, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group [1] and Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the seminar and delivered a speech. Deng Chundong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies, gave the opening address, and Researcher Jin Minqing, head of the Department of Sinicization of Marxism Research, delivered the keynote presentation.
During the seminar, scholars engaged in an enthusiastic discussion centered on several issues, including the historical process, fundamental experiences, ideological logic, methodology, practical paths, laws of innovation, and the "people-centered dimension" [2] of the Sinicization of Marxism. Participating scholars maintained that the Sinicization of Marxism is a subject of great practical and theoretical significance, encompassing rich content and involving numerous dimensions. They emphasized the need to conduct persistent, long-term research from multidisciplinary and multi-angled perspectives, striving to contribute to the advancement of research into the Sinicization of Marxism.
