On October 6, Dean and Party Secretary Deng Chundong was invited to attend and speak at the China-CEEC Political Parties Dialogue

On October 6, 2016, local time, the China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Political Parties Dialogue was held in Budapest, Hungary. Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, attended the dialogue and delivered a keynote speech titled "Promoting the Construction of the 'Belt and Road' and '16+1 Cooperation' to Join Hands in Benefiting the People of China and Central and Eastern Europe." Leaders of CEE political parties, including Viktor Orbán, President of the Hungarian Fidesz party and Prime Minister of the government, and Vojtěch Filip, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic and Chairman of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.

This dialogue was hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. It serves as the first political party dialogue platform within the "16+1 cooperation" framework, under the theme: "Construction of the 'Belt and Road' and '16+1 Cooperation': The Responsibility and Role of Political Parties." Approximately 200 participants attended, including representatives of political parties from China and 16 CEE countries, think tank scholars, and members of the diplomatic corps stationed in Hungary.

Deng Chundong, President and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was invited to attend the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. The speech primarily introduced the state of the Communist Party of China's own internal building following the 18th National Congress [1], as well as the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches regarding comprehensively and strictly governing the Party.
