On October 24, Dean and Party Secretary Deng Chundong met with leaders of the Russian Center for Institutional Innovation

On October 24, 2016, Vitaly Subbotin, Director of the Department of Strategic and Ideological Research of the Russian Center for Institutional Innovation, Evgeny Bessonov, Director of the Laboratory for Institutional Solutions, and Marina Migulyova, an expert on cybersecurity issues, visited the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). They engaged in a friendly exchange with Deng Chundong, Director and Party Committee Secretary of the Institute of Marxism Studies.

Deng Chundong pointed out that the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the Russian Center for Institutional Innovation have collaborated for many years in the field of promoting Sino-Russian academic cooperation and exchange. Scholars from both sides have continuously advanced and deepened their work in jointly convening national academic conferences, conducting academic exchange visits, and sharing academic achievements, earning praise and positive reviews from the academic communities of both countries. He expressed his hope to persist in handling this work well [1] so as to promote the continuous deepening of research into socialist theory and practice, assist scholars from both countries in continuously broadening the scope of research on socialism, and deepen the breadth and depth of research into the basic principles of socialism. This effort serves to contribute the modest strength [2] of both parties toward building a beautiful human society that is just, reasonable, cooperative, and win-win.

Vitaly Subbotin stated that he fully agreed with Secretary Deng Chundong’s ideas. He expressed the hope to expand the methods of cooperation between the two sides. Beyond jointly organizing academic conferences, promoting exchanges and cooperation within the academic communities of both countries through the joint establishment of academic journals, and conducting scholar exchange visits, he hoped both sides would actively explore new channels and modes of cooperation to promote the continuous ascent of the neighboring, friendly, and cooperative relationship between the two countries to new heights.
