On July 1st, the national academic forum on the "Four Confidences" ^[1] and the Innovative Development of 21st-Century Chinese Marxism—jointly sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Institute of Marxism Studies and Southwest University of Science and Technology, and co-organized by the Department of Foreign Marxism of the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the School of Marxism at Southwest University of Science and Technology—was held in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. Deng Chundong, Director and Party Committee Secretary of the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, attended the forum and delivered a keynote report.
