On September 7, the Academy of Marxism held a special party lecture on studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's July 26 speech.

In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the special seminar for provincial and ministerial-level leading officials, and to conduct sufficient ideological mobilization for the successful convening of the 19th National Congress, Comrade Deng Chundong, Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Institute of Marxism Studies, delivered a special Party lecture ^[1] titled "Unswervingly Adhere to the Theme of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics Without Wavering" to all cadres and staff members of the Institute on September 7, 2017.

Comrade Deng Chundong began with the historical evolution of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speeches and took "socialism with Chinese characteristics" as the core concept. He critically analyzed historical experiences and lessons from both domestic and international contexts—both positive and negative—and systematically demonstrated the necessity of adhering to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics from five distinct perspectives.

Comrade Fan Jianxin, Deputy Director of the Institute, presided over the meeting, which was attended by all cadres and staff of the Institute of Marxism Studies.
