CPC Secretary and President Deng Chundong Meets with Hosts and Guests of the China-Europe Forum Spanish Venue in Valencia
On the afternoon of October 10, 2018, Deng Chundong, Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), held talks in Valencia, Spain, with the organizers and participating guests of the 2018 Europe Forum on the "Chinese Path" (Spain Session). These included the host organization, Casa Asia; the co-organizers, the Galician Institute for International Analysis and Documentation (IGADI), the Valencia City Government, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia; as well as forum guests from the Spanish "China Policy Observatory" [1] and the University of Navarra.

Secretary Deng Chundong first expressed his heartfelt thanks on behalf of the Chinese delegation to the Spanish hosts and co-organizers for their full efforts in preparing this forum on the eve of Spain's National Day. Rafael Bueno, Director of Politics, Society, and Education at Casa Asia, stated that the Europe Forum on the "Chinese Path" (Spain Session) has become an important window for all sectors of Spanish society to understand China, and he expressed his expectations for the forum to achieve fruitful results. Subsequently, the two sides engaged in an in-depth and warm exchange of views on issues of mutual concern, such as matters related to the organization of the forum and the regional and international situation.

Participants in the meeting included Daniel González Palau, Director of the Galician Institute for International Analysis and Documentation (IGADI); Vicente Andreu, Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia; Georgina Higueras, Vice President of the Spanish "China Policy Observatory"; and Andrés Herrera, researcher at the University of Navarra. From the Chinese side, the meeting was attended by He Xinyuan, researcher at the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Professor Wang Binglin from the Social Science Development Research Center of the Ministry of Education; Professor Zhou Fuzhan from the School of Marxism at Dalian University of Technology; Professor Gao Jiwen from the School of Marxism at Shandong Normal University; Professor Chen Yanbin from Jiangsu Normal University; Ma Zhihui, researcher at the Jiangxi Provincial Academy of Social Sciences; Professor Li Yan from the Ideological and Political Education Research Center of Northeast Normal University; and He Qin, associate researcher at the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
