On December 26, Party Secretary and President Jiang Hui Attended and Addressed the Academic Symposium on "40 Years of Reform and Opening-up and the Sinicization of Marxism — Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up"

On December 26, the academic symposium "40 Years of Reform and Opening Up and the Sinicization of Marxism: Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up" was held in Beijing. The event was hosted by the Academic Division of Marxist Studies ^[1] of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and organized by the CASS Bureau of Scientific Research Management, the Institute of Contemporary China, and the Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Jiang Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Jiang Hui pointed out that over the past 40 years, reform and opening up ^[2] and the innovative development of Marxism have promoted one another, complemented each other, and formed an organic unity. The innovative achievements of the Sinicization of Marxism have guided the continuous expansion and deepening of reform and opening up by advancing with the times, while the great practice of reform and opening up has driven the Sinicization of Marxism to achieve new leaps time and again. The most concentrated expression and the latest theoretical achievement of Marxism's development through reform and opening up is the formation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. This great thought stands as a model for the innovative development of Marxism in the 21st century.
