The Academy of Marxism Completes Disciplinary and Talent Adjustments

To implement the spirit of the Guiding Opinions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on Strengthening the Construction of Disciplines and Talent ^[1], and in accordance with the Work Plan for the Adjustment of Disciplines (Research Offices) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Administrative Measures for the Appointment of Research Office Directors of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Institute of Marxism Studies (CASS) has conducted an adjustment of its research departments, research offices, and editorial departments. It has successfully completed the competitive recruitment of departmental heads and the allocation of specialized personnel across all disciplines.

On July 23, the Institute of Marxism Studies held a meeting for cadres ^[2] at or above the mid-level to announce the results of the appointments for the heads of various research departments, research offices, and editorial departments, and to issue the letters of appointment. Fan Jianxin, Secretary of the Party Committee, presided over the meeting. Xin Xiangyang, Vice President of the Institute, announced the appointment decisions. Jia Chaoning, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, attended along with more than 30 mid-level and senior cadres. During the meeting, members of the leadership team of the Institute of Marxism Studies presented letters of appointment to the newly appointed heads of the research departments, research offices, and editorial departments. They expressed their hope that these leaders would strengthen their political awareness, improve their political standing ^[3], earnestly shoulder their responsibilities, and lead by example ^[4]. They urged the appointees to lead the comrades of their respective departments in unity to successfully complete all work tasks.
