Academy of Marxism Holds Mobilization Meeting for Party History Learning and Education
On March 3, the Institute of Marxism Studies (Academy of Marxism) [1] held a mobilization rally for Party history study and education. The meeting aimed to conduct an in-depth study of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the national mobilization rally for Party history study and education [2], and to convey and implement the spirit of President Xie Fuzhan’s speech and work requirements delivered at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) mobilization rally. The meeting mobilized and deployed the Institute’s program for Party history study and education. Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President, presided over the meeting; Vice Presidents Gong Yun and Lin Jianhua attended.

Xin Xiangyang pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech profoundly expounded upon the significant meaning of carrying out Party history study and education, and clearly elucidated the key points and work requirements for this endeavor. It provides us with a clear direction and a fundamental follow-through [3] for successfully conducting this study and education. We must earnestly study and grasp the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, strengthening our political, ideological, and behavioral consciousness to carry out Party history study and education, and consciously drawing wisdom and the strength to forge ahead from the Party’s century-long great journey.

Xin Xiangyang emphasized the need to earnestly implement the spirit of Comrade Xie Fuzhan’s speech and work requirements, accurately grasping the objectives and key content of our Institute’s Party history study and education.
Through this study and education, the Party members and cadres of the entire Institute should be guided to further study, understand, internalize, and apply Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. We must continuously strengthen the "Four Consciousnesses," [4] firm up the "Four Confidences," [5] and achieve the "Two Upholds." We must closely integrate study and education with the research and various tasks of the Institute. From the high level of emphasizing politics, we must integrally promote studying Party history, comprehending its underlying ideas, performing practical deeds for the people, and opening up new prospects. We must continuously transform the fruits of study and education into a powerful driving force for managing the Institute well and accelerating the construction of the "Three Great Systems" [6] of Marxism.

Xin Xiangyang emphasized that carrying out Party history study and education is a major event in the Party’s political life and a significant political task that permeates the Institute’s work throughout the entire year. We must attach great importance to it, strengthen our political commitment, and make meticulous arrangements and deployments to ensure that the study and education yield practical results. We must establish a correct view of Party history, adhering to the two resolutions of our Party on historical issues [7] and the spirit of the Party Central Committee as our foundation. We should guide cadres and staff to establish correct views of history, nationality, state, and culture. We must study original works and original texts, studying in earnest, and persist in combining "prescribed actions" with "self-selected actions," [8] conducting study and education in a way that remains close to reality. Each Party branch of the Institute must, in accordance with the deployments of the CASS Party Group and the Institute’s Party Committee, organize study activities with prominent themes and distinctive characteristics. We must focus on innovation in methods and means, coordinating the promotion of all tasks to ensure that Party history study and education achieve solid results.
