Call for Papers: The 17th National Forum for Deans of Marxist Studies Schools
To facilitate the in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 2025 National Two Sessions [1], and to continuously deepen our regularized understanding [2] of the Party's theoretical innovation, the 17th National Forum for Deans of Marxist Colleges is scheduled to be held from June 20–22, 2025, at Nanchang Hangkong University. The forum aims to further deepen and expand the systematic construction and academic interpretation of the Party's innovative theories, thereby more effectively demonstrating the power of truth inherent in contemporary Chinese Marxism and twenty-first-century Marxism. The theme of the forum is "The Systematization and Academic Interpretation of the Party's Innovative Theories."
This forum will focus closely on the conference theme, with particular emphasis on discussing the following topics:
- Research and interpretation of the systematization and academic interpretation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era;
- Methodology for the research and interpretation of the systematization and academic interpretation of the Party's innovative theories;
- Key content in the research and interpretation of the systematization and academic interpretation of the Party's innovative theories;
- The systematization and academic interpretation of the Party's innovative theories and the construction of an independent knowledge system for Chinese philosophy and social sciences;
- The systematization and academic interpretation of Xi Jinping’s Economic Thought;
- The systematization and academic interpretation of Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thought;
- The systematization and academic interpretation of Xi Jinping’s Thought on the Rule of Law;
- The systematization and academic interpretation of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Ecological Civilization;
- The systematization and academic interpretation of Xi Jinping’s Diplomatic Thought;
- The systematization and academic interpretation of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Strengthening the Military;
- The systematization and academic interpretation of the theory of Chinese-path modernization;
- High-quality development of the discipline of Marxist theory.
We sincerely invite teaching and research personnel from national research institutions, institutions of higher education, Party departments, and government departments to submit papers. Manuscript requirements are as follows:
- Submissions must maintain a correct political stance, feature a distinct theme and rigorous logic, and integrate historical narrative with theoretical analysis (Shi-Lun Jie-He [3]). They should demonstrate academic rigor and innovation, possessing high theoretical and practical value;
- Papers must be original, unpublished works of at least 8,000 words. The main text must be preceded by an abstract (approximately 500 words), keywords (3–5), a brief biography of the author, and detailed contact information. Admission to this forum is based on the submission of a paper. The deadline for paper submissions is June 1, 2025. Following selection by a committee of expert reviewers, conference invitation letters will be sent to selected participants no later than mid-June. A collection of excellent papers will be selected for publication, and outstanding works will be recommended for publication in Marxism Studies (Ma-ke-si-zhu-yi Yan-jiu).
