The Administrative Branch of the Academy of Marxism Convened a General Meeting of Party Members

News & Updates

On July 1, 2025, the Administrative Party Branch of the Institute of Marxism Studies [1] held a general meeting of Party members. Comrade Chi Chongyang, Secretary of the Party Branch, presided over the meeting and delivered a Party lecture [2] themed "The Party Spirit of Chinese Communists." All Party members and activists [3] of the branch attended.

General Secretary Xi Jinping has pointed out: "The problem of conduct is, at its root, a problem of Party spirit. Conduct reflects image and quality; it manifests Party spirit, and it is Party spirit that plays the decisive role." Centered on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions regarding Party spirit, Chi Chongyang delivered the lecture from two perspectives: "What is the Party spirit of Chinese Communists?" and "How to strengthen the cultivation of Party spirit." He proposed that the Party spirit of a member of the Communist Party of China is the concrete manifestation of the Party’s nature, goals, purpose, conduct, discipline, and morality within that member. The issue of Party spirit is essentially a question of standpoint; members must stand on the side of the Party and the people and must not prioritize personal interests. In the face of major issues of right and wrong [4], and in the face of the Party’s principles and discipline, every member must uphold Party spirit without hesitation. When contradictions arise between the interests of the Party and the people versus personal interests, the supremacy of the interests of the Party and the people must be maintained. Members must continuously strengthen their cultivation of Party spirit, achieving absolute loyalty to the Party, firming up their ideals and convictions, persisting in the principle of "people first," strictly observing the Party’s discipline and rules, carrying forward the Party’s glorious traditions and fine conduct, and developing a spirit of responsibility and struggle.

Chi Chongyang also analyzed typical cases of violations of the spirit of the central Eight-Point Regulations to emphasize the importance of adhering to the principles of Party spirit.
