The School of Marxism Holds "Young Hearts Toward the Party, Saluting Heroes" International Children's Day Event | Marxism Research Network

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, foster patriotic sentiments in children from an early age, and showcase the brand-new mental outlook of children in the New Era, the Labor Union and the Working Committee for Women of the Institute of Marxism Studies (CASS), upon seeking instructions from the Institute leadership, organized a "Childlike Heart Toward the Party, Saluting Heroes" hand-copied newspaper ^[1] drawing activity from June 1st to 15th, 2025. Through the production of these hand-copied newspapers, the "Ma Xiaohua" ^[2] (Little Flowers of Marxism) honored the memory of revolutionary martyrs, paid tribute to heroes, and expressed their patriotic feelings.

The activity was warmly received by the staff of our Institute and the "Ma Xiaohua." Participants engaged actively and drew with meticulous care, resulting in a total of 38 submissions. Through character portraiture, the calligraphy of poems and lyrics, and the illustration of stories, the "Ma Xiaohua" deeply felt that today's happy life was not easily won ^[3]. This stimulated the children’s passion for loving the Party and the country, encouraging them to establish the resolve to serve the nation ^[4] from a young age.

It is reported that the hand-copied newspapers from the "Childlike Heart Toward the Party, Saluting Heroes" activity will be integrated with the "Paper-cutting to Recall the Extraordinary Years ^[5]: Women’s Elegance in Full Bloom" paper-cutting works created by the Institute's female employees, to be exhibited at an opportune time.
