Academy of Marxism Convenes Mobilization and Deployment Meeting for Study and Education on Establishing and Practicing a Correct View of Political Performance
On March 4, the Institute of Marxism Studies [1] held a general assembly of all cadres to deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on establishing and practicing a correct outlook on achievements [2]. The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the speech delivered by President Gao Xiang at the Enlarged Meeting of the Academy’s Party Organs Group [3] and the Meeting of the Leading Group for Party Building Work. Furthermore, it announced the "Work Plan of the Institute of Marxism Studies for Learning and Education on Establishing and Practicing a Correct Outlook on Achievements," and mobilized and deployed the learning and education program for the Institute. Luo Wendong, Secretary of the Party Committee, presided over the meeting, conveyed the spirit of the meetings of the Party Central Committee and the Academy’s Party Organs Group, and delivered a mobilization speech. Cui Weihang, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Chen Zhigang, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee and Vice President; and Yu Haiqing, Vice President, attended the meeting and presented specific requirements for the departments under their charge regarding the implementation of the learning and education program and related work.
The meeting pointed out that carrying out learning and education on establishing and practicing a correct outlook on achievements is a major policy decision and deployment made by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, proceeding from the overall situation of the development of the Party and the state’s cause. It is a vital task for Party building this year and, moreover, the primary political task for the Institute of Marxism Studies. All cadres and scholars of the Institute must, from the political height of firmly supporting the "Two Establishments" and resolutely achieving the "Two Upholds," profoundly recognize the significance of conducting this learning and education. They must effectively align their thoughts and actions with the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the requirements of the Academy’s Party Organs Group, continuously strengthening their sense of responsibility and mission to solidly carry out the learning and education, and ensuring that it achieves substantial results within the Institute.
The meeting required that the implementation of the learning and education program must conscientiously fulfill the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the Academy’s Party Organs Group. It must fully implement the general requirements of "building a party for the public, benefiting the people, making scientific decisions, and working with genuine earnestness." Centering on the Excerpts from Xi Jinping's Discourses on Establishing and Practicing a Correct Outlook on Achievements and other series of important discourses, the Institute must conduct in-depth study and discussion, engage in profound inspection and reflection, and strengthen the rectification of problems. It must persist in the integrated advancement of "learning, inspecting, and reforming" [4], educating and guiding the Party members, cadres, and scholars of the Institute to firmly establish a correct outlook on achievements and their careers, and reinforcing the philosophy of "conducting scholarship for the people."
The meeting emphasized that the implementation of the learning and education program must be planned and advanced in integration with the fulfillment of the Party Central Committee’s decisions and the Academy’s Party Organs Group’s requirements. It must be closely integrated with various tasks centered on scientific research. The Institute must give full play to its research and academic advantages, organizing experts and scholars to conduct systematic and academic research and interpretation [5] of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on establishing and practicing a correct outlook on achievements. This should result in a series of high-quality research outputs, using the effectiveness of the learning and education to promote the high-quality development of all work within the Institute, thereby contributing wisdom and strength to a successful start for the "15th Five-Year Plan" [6].
