China Publishing Group Research Team Visits the Academy of Marxism for Research and Symposium

On March 19, a research delegation from the China Publishing Group ^[1], led by Ding Bo, Editor-in-Chief of Research Press, along with Wang Xi, Editor-in-Chief of the Wenjin Company of the Commercial Press ^[2], and Mao Yanqin, Director of the Editorial Office of Research Press, visited the Institute of Marxism Studies (Academy of Marxism) to conduct a research symposium on "Constructing China's Independent Knowledge System."

Cui Weihang, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies, presided over the meeting. He introduced the Institute’s initiatives and achievements in constructing an independent knowledge system for Chinese Marxist theory, as well as the development plan for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period ^[3]. Luo Wendong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies, attended the meeting and offered opinions on how to construct an independent knowledge system for Chinese philosophy and social sciences.

He Xinyuan, Director of the Department of Sinicization of Marxism; Liu Xukuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; Yang Jing, Director of the Department of Marxist Principles; and Yuan Xiuli, Director of the Department of the International Communist Movement, each delivered remarks on their respective departments' efforts toward constructing an independent knowledge system, their current achievements, future plans, and related recommendations.

The two parties engaged in in-depth discussion and exchange centered on the research theme.
