The 2010 Annual Conference of the Chinese Atheism Society and the Seminar on the Theory and Practice of Scientific Atheism Convened in Urumqi
The "2010 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Atheism Society and Seminar on the Theory and Practice of Scientific Atheism" was convened in Urumqi. On June 26–27, 2010, the "2010 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Atheism Society and Seminar on the Theory and Practice of Scientific Atheism," jointly sponsored by the Chinese Atheism Society, the Center for Science and Atheism Research of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), the Xinjiang Academy of Social Sciences, and the School of Law and Economics at Xinjiang Normal University, was held in Urumqi. More than 60 experts and scholars from across the country, along with over 100 non-voting participants, attended the seminar. Centering on the theory and practice of scientific atheism, the seminar launched extensive and in-depth discussions on several special topics, including scientific atheism and society, the theoretical system and disciplinary development of scientific atheism, the propaganda and education of atheism, and atheism education among ethnic minorities [1].
