Call for Papers: The 6th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum
In order to deeply study, research, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC [1], and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, we seek to further promote theoretical innovation based on practice. To strike a high-spirited melody of praise for the New China and forge ahead in the New Era within the field of academic and theoretical research, the 6th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Mao Zedong Thought Forum is scheduled to be held in Beijing on Saturday, April 13, 2019. The theme of this forum is "Mao Zedong Thought and 70 Years of the New China." The event will span three days: regional guests will register on April 12; the full-day conference will take place on April 13; and regional guests will depart on April 14.
The CASS Mao Zedong Thought Forum is a national high-end academic forum under the unified leadership of the Leading Group for the Construction of Marxist Theoretical Disciplines and the Project for Theoretical Research of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences [2]. It is hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. As an authoritative forum in the fields of Mao Zedong Thought research and the study of Mao Zedong’s life, it aims to strengthen exchanges among scholars in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research across the country and promote the in-depth development of such research. Founded in 2014 and held annually, the forum has become one of the most influential national forums in the fields of Mao Zedong research and the study of Mao Zedong Thought.
We welcome everyone to actively write and submit papers for the conference based on the theme of this forum and the following reference topics:

The forum operates on a system of "attendance based on paper submission," and we hereby solicit papers from experts, scholars, and teaching and research personnel nationwide engaged in the study of Mao Zedong Thought. Submitted papers should focus on the theme and the aforementioned reference topics, with titles selected by the authors, and must adhere to the correct political direction. Papers must be unpublished scientific research outcomes and comply with academic standards. Generally, papers should not exceed 8,000 words (including notes), and should be accompanied by 3–5 keywords and an abstract of no more than 300 words. Citations and historical materials must be accurate and rigorous, with sources clearly indicated (please refer to the format of the journal Marxist Studies [4]). At the end of the text, please attach a brief author biography, email address, and contact phone number.
After the papers pass the preliminary selection, the Forum Preparatory Group will issue invitation letters to selected authors by late March.
