Call for Papers: The 9th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum
To profoundly study, research, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era [1] and the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC [2]; to deepen academic research on the successful experience of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China; to consolidate and expand the achievements of the Party history study and education [3]; to deepen the study of Mao Zedong Thought; to promote the innovation and development of Marxist theory; and to welcome the victorious convening of the 20th Party Congress [4]—the Ninth Mao Zedong Thought Forum of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is scheduled to be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, from May 27 to 29, 2022.
The forum is jointly hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Nanchang University, organized by the School of Marxism of Nanchang University, and co-organized by the Editorial Department of Marxist Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu). The theme of the forum is "Mao Zedong Thought and the Leap in the Sinicization of Marxism."
The Mao Zedong Thought Forum of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is one of the series of forums within the CASS Project for Marxist Theory Discipline Construction and Theoretical Research. It is an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought studies, aimed at strengthening exchanges among scholars across the country and promoting the in-depth development of research in this field. Established in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums in the field of Mao Zedong Thought studies. We sincerely invite experts, scholars, teachers, and students in related research fields across the country to participate by submitting papers based on the forum's theme.

Paper Submissions Submission requirements: The papers must be guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Theory of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. They should closely integrate the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, reflecting ideological depth, contemporary relevance, and innovativeness.
Experts, scholars, teachers, and students interested in attending are requested to write their papers as soon as possible and send them to 13979160090@163.com before April 15, 2022. Papers must be unpublished original research, adhere to the correct political direction and academic orientation, and comply with academic norms. Generally, the length of the paper should not exceed 10,000 words (including notes), and should be accompanied by 3–5 keywords and an abstract of approximately 300 words. Citations and historical materials must be accurate and rigorous, with sources clearly indicated (the format should refer to Marxist Studies).
Please ensure that submissions are marked with the words "Conference Submission." At the end of the text, please attach a brief author biography, email address, and contact phone number. The Conference Organizing Committee will organize a paper review committee composed of relevant experts to select the submissions. V. Other Matters The conference does not charge a registration fee. Transportation and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participants, while meal costs during the conference will be covered by the organizers. The timing and format of the meeting may be adjusted according to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
