Call for Papers: The 9th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum
To deeply study, research, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee [1], to deepen academic research into the successful experience of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, to consolidate and expand the achievements of the Party history study and education [2] campaign, to deepen research on Mao Zedong Thought, to promote the innovation and development of Marxist theory, and to welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, the 9th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Mao Zedong Thought Forum is scheduled to be held from May 27 to 29, 2022, in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.
The forum is jointly hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Nanchang University, organized by the School of Marxism at Nanchang University, and co-organized by the editorial department of Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi yanjiu). The theme of the forum is "Mao Zedong Thought and the Leaps in the Sinicization of Marxism."
The CASS Mao Zedong Thought Forum is one of the series of forums under the CASS Marxist Theory Disciplinary Construction and Theoretical Research Project. It is an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research, aimed at strengthening exchanges among scholars across the country and promoting the in-depth development of research in this field. Established in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums for the study of Mao Zedong Thought.
We sincerely invite experts, scholars, teachers, and students in relevant domestic research fields to participate by submitting papers. We encourage everyone to actively write and submit contributions centering on the forum's theme.

Paper Submissions Submissions must be guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Theory of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. They should closely integrate the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, reflecting ideological depth, contemporary relevance, and innovativeness.
Experts, scholars, teachers, and students interested in attending are requested to write their articles as soon as possible and send them to 13979160090@163.com by April 15, 2022. Papers must be unpublished research results, adhere to the correct political direction and academic orientation, and comply with academic norms. Generally, papers should not exceed 10,000 words (including notes) and should include 3–5 keywords and an abstract of approximately 300 words. Citations and historical materials must be accurate and rigorous, with sources clearly marked (for formatting, please refer to Marxism Studies).
When submitting, please be sure to indicate "Conference Submission" (会议征文). At the end of the text, please include a brief author biography, email address, and contact number. The organizing committee will form a paper review committee composed of relevant experts to select the papers. Formal invitation letters will be sent by April 30 for all papers selected through the review process.

V. Other Matters The conference does not charge a registration fee. Transportation and accommodation expenses are to be borne by the participants, while meal costs during the conference will be covered by the organizers. The timing and format of the conference may be adjusted based on the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
