Notice of Postponement for the 10th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum

Following deliberation, it has been decided that the 10th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Mao Zedong Thought Forum, originally scheduled to be held from November 3 to 5, 2023, in Xiangtan, Hunan—the hometown of the Great Man ^[1]—has been postponed to January 5 to 7, 2024. Accordingly, the deadline for call for papers has been extended; please send your papers to the email address 11906156@qq.com by December 5, 2023. This forum is co-hosted by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and Hunan University of Science and Technology. It is organized by the Department of Sinicization of Marxism Research of the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the School of Marxism at Hunan University of Science and Technology. It is co-organized by the editorial boards of Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi yanjiu), Reprinted Information from Newspapers and Periodicals: Mao Zedong Thought (Fuyin baokan ziliao: Mao Zedong Sixiang), Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping Theory Studies (Mao Zedong Deng Xiaoping lilun yanjiu), Mao Zedong Thought Studies (Mao Zedong Sixiang yanjiu), and Mao Zedong Studies (Mao Zedong yanjiu). The theme of the forum is "Mao Zedong Thought and the Comprehensive Building of a Modern Socialist Country."

The CASS Mao Zedong Thought Forum is one of the series of forums under the Disciplines Construction and Theoretical Research Engineering of Marxist Theory of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research, aimed at strengthening exchanges among scholars across the country and advancing the in-depth development of Mao Zedong Thought research. Founded in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research. We sincerely invite experts, scholars, faculty, and students in this research field to participate by submitting papers, and we encourage everyone to actively write and contribute around the forum’s theme.
