Jointly hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Shandong University of Technology, and organized by the Department of Studies on the Development of Marxism at the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the School of Marxism at Shandong University of Technology, the "Forum on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" will be held from November 15 to 17, 2019, at the Xingyuan Hotel in the International Exchange Center of Shandong University of Technology, Zibo, Shandong Province. We cordially invite our colleagues to attend this conference and welcome submissions of papers centered on the conference theme, and invite you to take time from your busy schedule [1] to participate in the deliberations.

  2. Research on the adherence to and development of Marxism by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
  3. Research on the historical experience of the 70-year Sinicization of Marxism.
  4. Research on the historical experience of the Chinese Communist Party's self-revolution and social revolution. [3]

III. Conference Time and Location

  1. Conference Time: Registration on November 15 (Friday); conference sessions on November 16 (Saturday); departure on November 17 (Sunday).
  2. Conference Location: Xingyuan Hotel, Shandong University of Technology (West Campus), Inside Shandong University of Technology, No. 266 Xincun West Road, Zhangdian District, Zibo City, Shandong Province.

IV. Other Matters

  1. The conference does not charge a registration fee. Participants are responsible for their own round-trip transportation and accommodation costs. Physical copies of the invitation letter can be collected at the conference site.
  2. Please send paper submissions and the participation receipt to lgliuqin@126.com by November 8, 2019. The organizing committee will send official invitations based on the submissions.
  3. Participation in the seminar is based on paper submission; selected papers will be collected and published after the conference. The electronic filename for the paper should be "Author Name + University + Article Title." Submissions must be formatted in Word, not exceeding 8,000 characters. The article must include the Chinese title, author name and affiliation, abstract, and keywords. Citations must use footnotes in Size 5 SimSun font, with numbering restarting on each page.
  4. Transportation Routes: (1) Railway Station: Zibo Station: Take Bus No. 7 to the East Gate of the West Campus; or take a taxi to the East Gate (approx. 15 RMB). Zibo North Station: Take Bus No. 229, transfer to No. 222; or take a taxi to the East Gate (approx. 30 RMB). (2) Long-distance Bus Station: Take Bus No. 2 to the West Gate or North Gate of the West Campus; taxi starting fare is 8 RMB. (3) Route from the campus gate to Xingyuan Hotel: Enter from the East Gate, go straight west for about 800 meters on the left. Enter from the West Gate, go straight east for about 1,500 meters on the right.
