Call for Papers: The 9th Forum on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era

The "Ninth Forum on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era," jointly organized by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), the CASS Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, and hosted by the Department of Research on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era of the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies, the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, and the Yunnan Provincial Demonstration Base for the Study, Promotion, and Implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, will be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, in mid-to-late June 2022. We sincerely invite colleagues to write papers centered on the theme of the conference and to take the time to attend the symposium.

  2. Research on the scientific system and core tenets of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
  3. Research on the major original contributions [1] of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
  4. Research on the internal logic of the "Ten Clarifications" [2] within Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
  5. Research on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the essence of Chinese culture and the Chinese spirit of our times.

III. Conference Time and Location

  1. Conference Time: Mid-to-late June 2022 (Specific dates to be determined based on the epidemic prevention and control situation).
  2. Conference Location: Kunming, Yunnan Province.

IV. Other Matters

  1. No conference fee will be charged. Participants are responsible for their own round-trip transportation and accommodation expenses. Hard-copy invitations will be collected at the conference site.
  2. Please send the call for papers and the attendance receipt to 13769185606@139.com before May 10, 2022. The conference organizing committee will send official invitations based on the submissions.
  3. Attendance at the symposium is based on the submission of a paper; a selection of papers will be collected and published after the meeting. Electronic paper files should be named "Author Name + Institution + Article Title." Please select a title based on the theme and the aforementioned topics. Submissions must adhere to the correct political direction. Papers must be original research findings that have not been previously published. Manuscripts should be in electronic Word format, ideally not exceeding 8,000 words, and should include 3–5 keywords and an abstract within 300 words. Citations should use footnotes at the bottom of the page, in Size 5.5 Songti font, with numbering restarting on each page. Please refer specifically to the publishing format of Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu). At the end of the text, please include personal information such as a brief author biography, professional title/position, contact phone number, and email address.
