Call for Papers: The 7th National Forum for Deans of Marxist Studies
In order to study and implement the spirits of the 18th National Congress of the Party, the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee [1], and the spirit of the series of important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping in depth; to hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics; to continuously advance research on the theoretical system, path, and system of socialism with Chinese characteristics; and to promote the teaching and research of Marxist theory, it has been decided upon deliberation that the 7th National Forum for Deans of Marxist Academies will be held from November 29 to 30, 2014, at Yunnan Agricultural University. The forum is jointly organized by the Institute of Marxism Studies and the Academic Division of Marxist Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Yunnan Agricultural University, and the Guangxi Normal University Press Group. The theme of the forum is: "Marxism and China's Comprehensively Deepening Reform." We are now soliciting papers from heads of departments, discipline leaders, and other researchers of Marxist theory from universities and research institutions nationwide who are engaged in the teaching and scientific research of Marxist theory and practice, the international communist movement and international relations, political science, sociology, and law.
The scope of selected topics for submission is as follows:
- The path, theoretical system, and system of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
- Cultivating and practicing socialist core values.
- A Marxist interpretation of comprehensively deepening reform.
- The decisive role of the market in resource allocation and the better exercise of the role of government [2].
- Marxism and the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
- Marxism and accelerating the transformation of the economic development mode.
- Marxism and the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity.
- Marxism and the construction of ecological civilization.
- Marxism and the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.
- Marxism and making Party building more scientific.
- The Party's mass line education and practice activities [3].
- Research on foreign Marxism.
Authors shall determine the specific titles of their papers based on the above scope. Submitted papers must be original, unpublished works and should strive to achieve the following: clear thematic intent, correct viewpoints, focused argumentation, and accurate, standardized citations. Articles should generally be within 8,000 words, including an abstract, keywords, and author biography. Submissions should include the author's gender, age, professional title, institution, address, contact phone number, email address, and postal code.
A collection of conference papers will be published after the meeting. The submission deadline is [Date omitted in original].
