Introduction to the Editorial Department of the World Review of Political Economy

The World Review of Political Economy (WRPE) [ISSN: 2042-891X] is a peer-reviewed English-language quarterly journal. It is supervised by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and co-sponsored by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the World Association for Political Economy. The journal is published and distributed globally by the renowned British leftist publisher, Pluto Press.

The World Review of Political Economy primarily publishes research articles on Marxist political economy theory and policy, academic debates, book reviews, academic trends, and profiles of Marxist economists. It aims to unite Marxist economists from across the globe to apply Marxist economics in analyzing and resolving the economic and social issues facing humanity today, contributing to the development of a better society for mankind, and establishing a world-class journal of Marxist economics.

Currently, the World Review of Political Economy is indexed in ESCI (Emerging Sources Citation Index, an edition of Web of Science), Scopus, DOAJ, UGC-CARE, and ABCD. It is also included in major journal databases such as JSTOR and EBSCO, and has already exerted a broad academic influence worldwide.

The Editorial Department of the World Review of Political Economy is responsible for the solicitation of manuscripts, peer review, translation and proofreading, editing, and publication of the journal. It is committed to building the World Review of Political Economy into a world-class academic journal of Marxist political economy.
