Clean Government Construction and Social Evaluation Research Office

The Research Office for Clean Government Construction and Social Evaluation currently consists of 2 researchers, including 1 Associate Researcher, 1 Assistant Researcher, and 1 Master’s supervisor. The current Deputy Director of the Research Office is Sun Dawei (Presiding over Affairs).

This Research Office also serves as the Secretariat of the Clean Government Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). It persists in applying the Marxist standpoint, viewpoint, and method, conducting research under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. It is committed to the construction and innovation of an independent knowledge system for Chinese Discipline of Inspection and Supervision [1], as well as the systematic and theoretical research and interpretation of the theoretical and practical experiences of the building of Party conduct and clean government and the anti-corruption struggle. Its main research fields include: the theory of inspection and supervision, the study of Party discipline, the science of supervision law, the study of clean government, and inspection and touring-supervision [2]. This Research Office undertakes projects entrusted by the CPC Central Committee and CASS, think tank projects of the Clean Government Research Center of CASS, projects of the CASS Innovation Project, the National Social Science Fund of China, the CASS National Top-Level Think Tank, the CASS Research Center for Party Building in the New Era, and the Research Center for the Theory of Inspection of the CPC, among others.

Representative research achievements of this Research Office include: The Report on Clean Government Construction (formerly titled The Report on China’s Building of an Honest and Clean Government and Anti-Corruption, with 11 volumes published) and Research on the Study of Clean Government (with 14 volumes published).

Major academic activities hosted by this Research Office include: the "China Clean Government Research Forum" (15 sessions held to date), the "China Grassroots Clean Government Research Forum" (6 sessions held to date), and the "China Clean Government Culture · Suining Forum" (1 session held to date).
