Notice of the 7th China-Japan Forum of Socialist Scholars: Academic Symposium on "Reform and Opening-up and the Theoretical Innovation of Contemporary Chinese Marxism"

Dear Ms. / Mr.:

To facilitate the in-depth study and research of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress [1], to comprehensively promote the international dissemination of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era alongside the continuous elevation of research standards in basic Marxist theory, and to deepen academic exchange between China and Japan, the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Shandong University of Technology, and the Japan Socialist Association will jointly host the 7th China-Japan Forum of Socialist Scholars. The specific organizers of this event are the Department of Marxism Sinicization Research at the Institute of Marxism Studies (CASS) and the School of Marxism at Shandong University of Technology. The theme of the forum is "Reform and Opening-up [2] and the Theoretical Innovation of Contemporary Chinese Marxism." We sincerely invite you to attend this conference.

II. Conference Venue Xingyuan Hotel, International Exchange Center, Shandong University of Technology (West Campus) (No. 266 Xincun West Road, Zhangdian District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, inside the Shandong University of Technology campus)

  1. No conference fee will be charged for this meeting. Transportation and accommodation expenses shall be borne by the participants themselves. Meals during the conference will be provided by the organizers.

V. Conference Receipt To facilitate the organizing committee’s arrangements, experts and scholars submitting papers are requested to fill out the receipt (Appendix 1) and send it to Liu Qin at the School of Marxism, Shandong University of Technology (lgliuqin@163.com). After receiving the paper and receipt, the organizing committee will issue a formal invitation based on the circumstances.

Appendix 2: Transportation Routes: (1) Railway Station: From the railway station, take bus No. 7 to the East Gate of the New Campus and enter on foot; or take a taxi to the East Gate (fare approximately 15 RMB). (2) Long-distance Bus Station: Take bus No. 2 to the West Gate or North Gate of the New Campus; the starting fare for a taxi is 8 RMB. (3) Routes to Xingyuan Hotel, West Campus of Shandong University of Technology (for reference): From the East Gate: Go straight west for approximately 800 meters; the hotel is on the left. From the West Gate: Go straight east for approximately 1500 meters; the hotel is on the right.
