Notice of Enrollment for the 2nd National Workshop on Political Economy with Chinese Characteristics

In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the Symposium on Philosophy and Social Sciences ^[1], and to develop economic science with Chinese characteristics guided by Marxism, the Second National Seminar on Socialist Political Economy with Chinese Characteristics will be held from January 13 to 17, 2019, at the School of Marxism of Hainan Tropical Ocean University (Sanya, Hainan).

I. Organizing Units: The Department of Marxist Theory of the Institute of Marxism Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and the School of Marxism of Hainan Tropical Ocean University.

II. Seminar Content: Socialist Political Economy with Chinese Characteristics ^[2] (edited by Yu Bin, People’s Daily Press).

III. Seminar Schedule: Registration on January 12, 2019; thematic seminar sessions on January 13–14 and 16–17; group discussions on January 15; departure on January 18. A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of the seminar.

IV. Participants: Teaching personnel of Political Economy and courses on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics from universities or other educational institutions. The size of this session is limited to 100 people. Attendance is restricted to those who receive an electronic preliminary invitation after registration and have submitted a reply receipt.

V. Seminar Scale: 100 participants.
