Call for Papers: "Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China & Peak Forum on the Era of Great Power"
October 1, 2019, will mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Over these seventy years of tempestuous change [1], China’s historic leap has captured the world's attention. Currently, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a New Era. The Chinese nation, having endured many tribulations since the advent of modern times [2], has welcomed a great leap from standing up and becoming prosperous to becoming strong; it has ushered in the bright prospect of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. At this new historical coordinate, we commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the New China and amplify China's voice.
To this end, the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Chengdu University of Technology are co-hosting the "Summit Forum Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China and the Era of a Strong Country." The conference is scheduled to be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, from September 28 to 30, 2019. The event will be organized by the Department of Marxist Principles of the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies and the School of Marxism at Chengdu University of Technology, with the collaboration of the Theory and Reform (Lǐlùn yǔ Gǎigé) journal. We cordially invite experts and scholars nationwide engaged in research in this field to actively submit papers. This seminar will focus closely on the theme of the conference, with particular emphasis on the following content:
- Research on the "strong country" thought of classical Marxist writers
- Commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China
- Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era
- Research on the construction of a great modern socialist country with Chinese characteristics
- The global contribution and world-significance of socialism with Chinese characteristics
- Research on the correlation between changes in the global political and economic environment and innovative nations
Manuscript requirements: All submitted papers must be original, unpublished works, ranging from 8,000 to 12,000 words, accompanied by an author's biography, abstract, and keywords. Papers are required to have a distinct theme and correct viewpoints; citations must be standardized and quotations accurate.

Special notice: If the conference paper requires publication, please send the manuscript in advance to 519940574@qq.com. The conference organizing group will submit manuscripts to the editorial department collectively once a month, and the journal will select the best works for publication.
After all solicited papers have been reviewed by relevant experts, invitations will be sent to the authors of selected papers. A collection of conference proceedings will be published after the event.
