Call for Papers: The 10th Academic Forum on the Sinicization of Marxism
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and to synthesize the fundamental experience of the Sinicization of Marxism since the Communist Party of China (CPC) assumed national governance, the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) intends to convene the 10th "Academic Forum on the Sinicization of Marxism." Centered on the theme "The Sinicization of Marxism and 70 Years of the New China," the forum aims to conduct in-depth research into Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and to promote the innovative development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. We are now soliciting papers from experts and scholars nationwide engaged in research in this field.
I. Forum Theme: The Sinicization of Marxism and 70 Years of the New China
II. Forum Schedule: Registration on July 17, 2019 (Wednesday); full-day sessions on July 18 (Thursday) and morning sessions on July 19 (Friday); departure on the afternoon of July 19 or morning of July 20.
III. Forum Venue: International Conference Center, Dalian University of Technology (No. 2 Linggong Road, High-tech Zone, Dalian, Liaoning Province)
IV. Submission Requirements: Papers should adhere closely to the theme, maintain correct perspectives, and emphasize academic rigor. They should be independent research results that have not been previously published. The length should be kept within 8,000 characters.
V. Submission Deadline: June 15, 2019. Please send electronic copies of papers (hard copies are not accepted) to the email address: mkszyzghlt@163.com. Submissions should include an academic curriculum vitae of the author, an abstract, and keywords. The format should refer to the requirements of the journal Marxist Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu). The forum will organize experts to review the papers, and selected authors will be invited by June 22 to attend the conference based on their submissions.
VI. Fees: The forum does not charge a registration fee. Transportation and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participants.

This forum is jointly hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Dalian University of Technology. It is organized by the Department of Sinicization of Marxism Research (Institute of Marxism Studies, CASS) and the School of Marxism (Dalian University of Technology), and co-organized by the CASS Think Tank for Marxist Theoretical Innovation and the journal Marxist Studies.
