Conference Notice and Call for Papers: The 7th International Forum on the Communist Movement

In 2019, we mark several significant anniversaries in the history of the international communist movement, including the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the centenary of the May Fourth Movement [1], and the centenary of the founding of the Communist International (Comintern). In order to comprehensively review the historical trajectory of the People's Republic of China over the past 70 years, discuss the impact of the Comintern and the May Fourth Movement on the international communist movement, gain a profound understanding of the interconnections between socialism with Chinese characteristics and world socialism, and deepen the study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) will co-host the Seventh "International Communist Movement Forum" alongside the Guizhou Maritime Academy of Social Sciences and Zunyi Normal University. The theme of this year's forum is "Research on the 70 Years of New China and the International Communist Movement."
