2019 Postdoctoral Recruitment Announcement of the Academy of Marxism
In accordance with relevant documents issued by the General Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, the Postdoctoral Research Station of the Institute of Marxism Studies (IMS) will continue its recruitment for the year 2019. The recruitment process remains oriented toward specific topics and research projects, adhering to the principles of "fairness, justice, openness, and merit-based selection." The station intends to recruit 3 postdoctoral researchers under the category of National Grant-Funded personnel.
I. Recruitment Requirements (1) Possess high-quality political character and moral integrity, and be law-abiding. (2) During the doctoral period, the applicant should have published at least two academic papers in core journals as a sole author or lead author. For those without published papers, the doctoral dissertation must have been appraised as "Excellent." Journal references for published papers shall refer to the Overview of the Core Chinese Periodicals [1], the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), and the Evaluation Report on Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Periodicals. (3) Possess a strong academic background and research capabilities, with a degree of academic accumulation in their specific discipline and demonstrated potential for scientific research. (4) Be in good health and under the age of 35. (5) Engage in full-time postdoctoral research during the period at the station. (6) Staff members of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) are not permitted to apply for postdoctoral positions within the Academy. (7) This station does not accept doctoral graduates trained within the first-level discipline of Marxist Studies [2] at CASS to conduct postdoctoral research at this specific station, nor does it recruit leading cadres from Party or government organs to engage in "on-the-job" [3] postdoctoral research.
II. Academic Specializations and Directions Principles of Marxism, Sinicization of Marxism, History of Marxist Development, Scientific Socialism and the International Communist Movement, Ideological and Political Education, History of the Communist Party of China and Party Building, etc.
III. Benefits During the Research Period (1) Routine Funding: Implemented in accordance with the "Notice on Adjusting the Standards for Postdoctoral Routine Funding" jointly issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Finance. (2) Eligibility for social insurance and the Housing Provident Fund. (3) The station does not provide postdoctoral apartments; researchers must arrange their own accommodation.
IV. Required Application Materials (1) The IMS Postdoctoral Application Form (attached for download and completion). Supporting materials including one photocopy of papers, monographs, awards, and documentation of undertaken projects. For papers, submit the journal cover, table of contents, and the first and last pages of the article. For monographs, submit the cover and copyright page. For awards, submit certificates. For undertaken projects, submit the project initiation or completion letter. For articles accepted but not yet published, submit an "Acceptance Notice" stamped by the journal’s editorial department. (2) One photocopy of the doctoral degree certificate or the "Resolution of the Doctoral Dissertation Defense Committee." (3) One copy of the doctoral dissertation. (4) One photocopy of valid identification. (5) A recent physical examination certificate issued by a hospital at or above the county level (blood tests must include "comprehensive biochemical" results).
