Call for Papers: The 7th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum
In order to deeply study, research, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and the spirit of the Second, Third, and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee; to further advance theoretical innovation based on practice; to deepen the study of Mao Zedong Thought in the New Era; and to sound the uplifting melody of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation within the field of academic theoretical research, the 7th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Mao Zedong Thought Forum is tentatively scheduled to be held in Beijing on June 20, 2020 (Saturday). The theme is "Mao Zedong Thought and the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation." The conference will last for three days: participants from outside Beijing will register on June 19, the full-day conference will take place on June 20, and participants from outside Beijing will depart on June 21.
The final conference dates will be confirmed and announced based on the prevailing conditions of the COVID-19 [1] epidemic prevention and control.
The CASS Mao Zedong Thought Forum is a national high-end academic forum under the unified leadership of the Leading Group for the Project to Build Marxist Theory as a Discipline and for Theoretical Research [2] of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and is hosted by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies. As an authoritative forum in the fields of Mao Zedong Thought research and the study of Mao Zedong’s life, its objective is to strengthen exchanges among scholars in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research nationwide and to promote the in-depth development of such research. Founded in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums in the field of Mao Zedong and Mao Zedong Thought studies.
We welcome all participants to actively write papers for the forum centered on this year's theme and the following reference topics:

The forum operates on a "paper-based invitation" system. We hereby solicit papers from experts, scholars, and teaching/research personnel nationwide engaged in the study of Mao Zedong Thought. Submitted papers should select a specific title centered on the forum’s theme and the reference topics mentioned above, while adhering to the correct political direction and academic orientation. Papers must be unpublished original research and comply with academic standards. Papers should generally not exceed 10,000 characters (including notes) and must include 3–5 keywords and an abstract of no more than 300 characters. Citations and historical data must be accurate and rigorous, with sources clearly indicated (the format should refer to the journal Marxist Studies [6]). Please attach a brief author biography, email address, and contact telephone number at the end of the text.
After the papers pass a preliminary screening, the forum preparatory group will issue invitations to the selected authors by May 25.
