Founded in 1995, Studies on Marxism is managed by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and sponsored by the CASS Institute of Marxism Studies. It is a major academic and theoretical journal whose mission is the specialized study and dissemination of the integral theory of Marxism. The journal consistently adheres to Marxism as its guide and persists in the unification of political and academic character. It emphasizes ideological depth, criticality, and innovativeness, publishing articles that apply the Marxist standpoint, viewpoint, and method to analyze major theoretical and practical issues. Simultaneously, it actively publishes articles that research, promote, and interpret Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
The journal was among the first group to enter the CASS "Renowned Journal Project." It is currently indexed in several catalogs, including the Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Core Journals, the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) Source Journals, the National Chinese Core Journals, the Chinese Academic Journals Comprehensive Evaluation Database Source Journals, and the RCCSE Chinese Authoritative Academic Journals [1].
