Call for Papers: The 8th Scientific Socialism Forum of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, in order to review the glorious course of the development of scientific socialism in China, summarize the great contributions and valuable experience of the Communist Party of China in persisting in and developing scientific socialism, and look forward to the future development of scientific socialism in China and the world, the 8th National Scientific Socialism Forum is scheduled to be held at South China Normal University from May 15 to 17, 2021. The forum is hosted by the Leading Group for Marxist Theoretical Discipline Construction and Theoretical Research of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and co-organized by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and South China Normal University. We are now soliciting papers from colleagues in the national academic community and welcome all to attend based on their submissions.

I. Forum Theme Scientific Socialism at the Intersection of Two Centenaries [1]

II. Forum Time and Location Forum Time: May 15 to 17, 2021. Registration is on the 15th, the formal conference on the 16th, and departure on the 17th. (Specific dates may change according to the national COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control situation). Forum Location: South China Normal University

IV. Manuscript Requirements This forum adopts the method of "invitation based on paper submission." We sincerely invite teaching and research personnel from national research institutions, institutions of higher learning, and Party and government departments to actively submit manuscripts. The deadline is April 15, 2021. Manuscript requirements are as follows:

  1. Correct political stance, clear theme, rigorous logic, and the integration of history and theory [4]; the work should reflect academic rigor and innovation, possessing high theoretical and practical value;
  2. Papers must be original, unpublished works of no less than 8,000 words. Please use footnotes and follow the publication format of Marxist Studies (Makesizhuyi Yanjiu). The main text must be preceded by an abstract (approx. 300 words), keywords (3-5), a brief author biography, and detailed contact information.

There is no registration fee for this forum; transportation and accommodation expenses during the meeting are to be borne by the participants. After selection by the expert review committee, the organizing committee will issue invitation letters to selected authors by April 15. The conference will also select excellent papers to be recommended for publication in Marxist Studies.
