2021 Postdoctoral Recruitment Announcement of the Academy of Marxism
In accordance with the relevant documents issued by the General Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, the postdoctoral research station of the Institute of Marxism Studies will continue its task- and research project-oriented recruitment for the year 2021. Following the principles of "fairness, justice, openness, and merit-based selection," the station intends to recruit 3 postdoctoral researchers under the national funding category.
I. Recruitment Criteria (1) Applicants must possess high-quality political standards and moral character, abide by the law, and be young talents with a certain level of academic accumulation who have graduated with a doctorate from "Double First-Class" initiative universities [1], the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), the Chinese Academy of Sciences, or other key research institutes (including graduates from overseas universities ranked in the top 200 globally in comprehensive or subject rankings). (2) Applicants must have published at least two academic papers as the sole or first author in core journals during their doctoral studies. For those without published papers, their doctoral dissertation must have been rated as "Excellent." Reference journals for publication include the Overview of Core Chinese Journals [2], the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), and the Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journal Evaluation Report. (3) Applicants must have a strong academic background, robust research capabilities, a degree of academic accumulation in their respective disciplines, and demonstrate significant potential for scientific research. (4) Applicants must be in good health and under the age of 35. (5) Applicants must engage in postdoctoral research work on a full-time basis during their tenure at the station. (6) Staff members of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences may not apply to conduct postdoctoral research within the Academy. (7) This station does not accept doctoral graduates from the first-level discipline of Marxist studies within our own Institute to conduct postdoctoral research here, nor does it recruit leading cadres from Party or government organs [3] to engage in in-service postdoctoral research.
II. Academic Disciplines for Recruitment Basic Principles of Marxism, Research on the Sinicization of Marxism, History of the Development of Marxism, Scientific Socialism and the International Communist Movement, Research on Overseas Marxism, Ideological and Political Education, Party Building, etc.
III. Benefits During Tenure (1) Routine expenses: Handled in accordance with the requirements of the "Notice on Adjusting the Standards for Postdoctoral Routine Expenses" jointly issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Finance. (2) Provision of social insurance and the Housing Provident Fund. (3) The station does not provide postdoctoral apartments; researchers must arrange their own accommodation.
IV. Standards for Completion of Research (Exit Standards) In addition to completing one "Postdoctoral Exit Report" of high academic value, researchers must also list "Chinese Academy of Social Sciences" or "Institute of [XX], Chinese Academy of Social Sciences" as their primary affiliation and complete one of the following tasks as the sole, first, or second author (if the postdoctoral supervisor is the first author):
- Publish one academic paper in a "top-tier" or "authoritative" journal (referring to the Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journal Evaluation Report published by CASS or an international journal of equivalent influence).
- Publish two academic papers in core journals or international journals of equivalent influence.
V. Requirements for Application Materials (1) Application Form for Postdoctoral Positions at the Institute of Marxism Studies (see attachment for download and completion). Supporting materials (one photocopy) for papers, monographs, awards, and projects mentioned must be provided. For papers, submit the journal cover, table of contents, and the first and last pages of the article; for monographs, submit the cover and copyright page; for awards, submit the certificate; for projects, submit the project initiation or completion letter. For articles accepted but not yet published, a "Notice of Acceptance" stamped by the journal's editorial office must be submitted. (2) Photocopy of the doctoral degree certificate or the "Resolution of the Doctoral Dissertation Defense Committee." (3) One copy of the doctoral dissertation. (4) One photocopy of valid identification. (5) A recent health certificate issued by a hospital at the county level or above (blood tests must include "comprehensive biochemical" results).
