[Academic Announcement] 21st Century Marxism Lecture Series (Lecture 3)
The "21st-Century Marxism Grand Lecture Series," hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), will hold its third session on May 13. Researcher Li Jie, former President of the journal Qiushi and President of the Association of Chinese Historians, is invited to deliver a keynote lecture titled "Viewing the Centenary History of the Party Through Five Threads." The lecture will be moderated by Researcher Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies.

Profile of Comrade Li Jie: Li Jie is the President of the Association of Chinese Historians, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Central Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project [1], and a member of the National Textbook Committee. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Central Literature Research Office [2], Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and President of the journal Qiushi. His primary research areas include the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the history of the People's Republic of China, studies on the life and thought of Mao Zedong, studies on the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and studies on the Sinicization of Marxism. He is the author of works such as Mao Zedong's Historical Contributions to New China, Mao Zedong and the Internal Affairs and Diplomacy of New China, and How the New Leap in the Sinicization of Marxism Arrived. He has presided over the editing of numerous CPC documentary materials, including the Selected Important Documents Since the Founding of the Party, and is one of the primary authors of the Biography of Mao Zedong.
