Wang Tingda delivered a keynote presentation titled "Several Insights on Establishing a Correct Outlook on Party History in the Study and Education of Party History." He emphasized that to establish a correct outlook on Party history, one must study, research, and publicize Party history from the standpoint of the Party and the people. We must adhere to historical materialism to understand history and persist in the ideological line of seeking truth from facts. We must distinguish between the "mainstream and the tributaries" [4], uphold truth, and correct errors. We must take a clear-cut stand against historical nihilism [5]. Furthermore, we must use the "Two Resolutions" [6] and the spirit of the Party Central Committee as the basis for correctly evaluating major events, important meetings, and key figures in Party history.
