Notice of the 14th National Forum for Young Scholars of Marxism

The year 2021 is one of landmark significance; our Party celebrates its centenary, and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has entered a critical period. Over the past century, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has made great contributions to the people, the nation, the country, and the world that are etched in the annals of history [1]. In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, to deeply carry out Party history study and education [2], to draw wisdom and strength for the journey ahead from the Party’s century of history, and to promote mutual learning and exchange among young Marxist scholars across the country, the 14th National Forum for Young Marxist Scholars will be held in Guangzhou from November 12–14, 2021. This forum is co-hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Sun Yat-sen University, and co-organized by the editorial department of Marxist Studies [3], the School of Marxism at Sun Yat-sen University, the Social Sciences Academic Press, and the School of Marxism at the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

I. Forum Theme and Topics (1) Forum Theme: Marxism and the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China (2) Forum Topics:

  1. Research on the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important “July 1st” speech [4]
  2. Research on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on Party history
  3. The 100 years of the Communist Party of China and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation
  4. The 100 years of the Communist Party of China and the Sinicization of Marxism
  5. Research on the theory and practice of the Communist Party of China’s long-term governance
  6. Research on the century-long history of struggle of the Communist Party of China
  7. Research on the self-construction of the Communist Party of China over the past century
  8. Research on the systems and mechanisms for maintaining the eternal vitality of the Communist Party of China
  9. Research on the historical mission of the Communist Party of China in the New Era
  10. Research on promoting the theory and practice of “Four Histories” education [5]

II. Conference Time and Location

  1. Time: November 12–14, 2021
  2. Location: South Campus of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou

IV. Registration Arrangements

  1. Time: Registration on November 12, 2021; full-day conference on November 13; departure on November 14.
  2. Location: Kaifeng Xuereguan (Scholar Hotel), South Campus of Sun Yat-sen University (No. 588 Binjiang East Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou).

V. Conference Instructions Participants are requested to send the conference registration form (appendix) to the conference email mkszyyjqnlt@163.com before October 10, 2021. The email subject should indicate “Registration for the 14th National Forum for Young Marxist Scholars.” No registration fee will be charged for this conference. Participants are responsible for their own round-trip transportation and accommodation expenses.
