The Plaque Unveiling Ceremony of the CASS Academy of Marxism-Guang'an, Sichuan Collaborative Research Base and the Theoretical Seminar on "Summarizing the Party's Centennial History and Opening up a New Future" Held at Xiaoping Cadre College
To deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "July 1" Speech [1], profoundly recognize the great achievements and historical experience of the Party over the past century, deeply cherish the memory of Comrade Deng小平's historical contributions, further exchange information on how various regions utilize "red culture" [2] to conduct Party spirit education and how various research bases exert their roles, and further leverage external strengths to improve the teaching, scientific research, and administrative consultation levels of the Xiaoping Cadre College, the plaque-unveiling ceremony for the Sichuan Guangan Cooperative Research Base of the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and the "Summarizing the Centenary of Party History, Opening a Brand New Future" theoretical seminar was held at the Xiaoping Cadre College on September 26. Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS, and Hong Li, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Guangan Municipal Committee, attended the meeting.
On behalf of the Guangan Municipal Party Committee, Hong Li expressed warm congratulations on the holding of this plaque-unveiling ceremony, extended a sincere welcome to the leaders and guests participating in the theoretical seminar, and expressed heartfelt thanks to the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS for its long-term concern and support for Guangan. On behalf of the college, Hong Li also accepted the plaque for the Sichuan Guangan Cooperative Research Base from Secretary Xin Xiangyang. Subsequently, the meeting held the award ceremony for the "Xiaoping Cadre College Cup" essay competition titled "Summarizing the Centenary of Party History, Opening a Brand New Future."
Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS, delivered a special report integrating the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "July 1" Speech. Starting from the distinct characteristics of the "July 1" Speech and incorporating the course of our country’s development, Xin Xiangyang profoundly interpreted the "four great achievements" [3] attained by the Party in uniting and leading the people. He grasped the incomparable self-confidence and the spirit of "great struggle" [4] of the Chinese Communists in seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation, and pointed out the importance of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "July 1" Speech. On this basis, utilizing his solid theoretical foundation, he profoundly explained the major theoretical innovations within General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "July 1" Speech. The report session possessed both height in political standing [5] and thickness in history and depth in theory, allowing everyone to savor a "spiritual feast" replete with "color, aroma, taste, shape, meaning, and nourishment."
On the afternoon of that day, the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS also held the 2021 Joint Meeting of National Conditions Research Bases. Representatives from various bases conducted exchange speeches focusing on their study of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "July 1" Speech, the practical implementation of Party history study and education activities, and the functioning of their respective bases. Five representatives of the award-winning authors from the "Xiaoping Cadre College Cup" essay competition shared and exchanged the contents of their winning papers.
More than 80 people participated in the event, including relevant experts and scholars from the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS, leaders and representatives from the National Conditions Research Bases of the Institute of Marxism Studies of CASS, authors of selected papers for the theoretical seminar, representatives from relevant municipal departments, Party schools of various county (city, district) committees, members of the leadership team of the Xiaoping Cadre College, heads of departments (centers), and college teachers.
