Announcement on Approving the Establishment of the New Era Collective Economy Research Branch by the Chinese Society of Political Economy | Marxism Research Network

After deliberation by the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies ^[1] of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), approval has been granted for the establishment of the New Era Collective Economy Research Branch under the China Society of Political Economy (CSPE). The New Era Collective Economy Research Branch is a secondary branch of the CSPE and is subject to the leadership and operational guidance of the Party Committee of the Institute of Marxism Studies, which serves as its overseeing institution.

Following its establishment, the New Era Collective Economy Research Branch will adhere to the mission of the China Society of Political Economy. It will unite experts and scholars engaged in the study of the collective economy ^[2] across the country to work together in earnestly studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The branch will strengthen research on major theoretical and practical issues such as the development of the collective economy in the New Era, rural revitalization ^[3], and common prosperity. It aims to function effectively as a think tank in upholding the basic economic system in which public ownership remains the mainstay ^[4] and in promoting the development and expansion of the collective economy.
