Call for Papers: The 9th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum
In order to deeply study, research, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the guiding principles of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee [1] of the CPC, to deepen academic research on the successful experience of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, to consolidate and expand the achievements of the Party history study and education campaign [2], to deepen research on Mao Zedong Thought, to advance the innovation and development of Marxist theory, and to welcome the victorious convening of the 20th National Congress of the Party, the 9th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Mao Zedong Thought Forum is scheduled to be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, from May 27 to 29, 2022.
The forum is jointly sponsored by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Nanchang University, organized by the School of Marxism at Nanchang University, and co-sponsored by the Editorial Department of Marxism Studies (Makesizhuyi yanjiu). The theme of the forum is "Mao Zedong Thought and the Leaps in the Sinicization of Marxism."
The CASS Mao Zedong Thought Forum is one of the series of forums under the Marxist Theory Disciplinary Construction and Theoretical Research Project of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research, aimed at strengthening exchanges among scholars across the country and promoting the in-depth development of Mao Zedong Thought research. Founded in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums in the field. We sincerely invite experts, scholars, teachers, and students in this research field to participate by submitting papers; we encourage everyone to actively write and contribute around the forum theme.

Paper Submissions Submissions must take Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Theory of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as guidance. They should closely integrate the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the guiding principles of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Party Central Committee, reflecting ideological depth, relevance to the times, and innovativeness.
Experts, scholars, teachers, and students interested in attending are requested to write their articles as soon as possible and send them to the email 13979160090@163.com before April 15, 2022. Papers must be unpublished research results, adhere to the correct political direction and academic orientation, and comply with academic norms. The length of the paper should generally not exceed 10,000 words (including notes), accompanied by 3–5 keywords and an abstract of approximately 300 words. Citations and historical materials must be accurate and rigorous, with sources clearly marked (for format, please refer to Marxism Studies).
Please be sure to mark the submission with the words "Conference Paper Submission" and attach a brief author biography, email address, and contact phone number at the end of the text. The conference affairs group will organize a paper review committee composed of relevant experts to evaluate the submissions. Formal invitations will be sent by April 30 to authors of papers selected through the review process.

V. Other Matters No registration fee is charged for the conference. Transportation and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participants, while meal costs during the conference will be covered by the organizers. The timing and format of the conference may be adjusted according to the pandemic situation.
