Call for Papers: The 9th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum
To deeply study, research, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of its 19th Central Committee [1], to deepen academic research on the successful experience of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), to consolidate and expand the results of Party history study and education, to deepen the study of Mao Zedong Thought, to promote the innovation and development of Marxist theory, and to welcome the victorious convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, the 9th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Mao Zedong Thought Forum is scheduled to be held from May 27 to 29, 2022, in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.
The forum is co-hosted by the Institute of Marxism Studies at CASS and Nanchang University, organized by the School of Marxism at Nanchang University, and co-organized by the editorial department of the journal Marxist Studies (Makesizhuyi yanjiu). The theme of the forum is "Mao Zedong Thought and the Leap in the Sinicization of Marxism."
The CASS Mao Zedong Thought Forum is one of the series of forums within the CASS Project for Marxist Theory Discipline Construction and Theoretical Research. It is an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research, aimed at strengthening exchanges among scholars in the field across the country and promoting the in-depth development of research on Mao Zedong Thought. Founded in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research. We sincerely invite experts, scholars, teachers, and students in the relevant domestic research fields to participate by submitting papers, and we encourage everyone to actively write and submit articles centered on the forum's theme.

Paper Submissions Submissions are required to take Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Theory of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as their guide. They should closely integrate the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, reflecting ideological depth, relevance to the times, and innovation.
Experts, scholars, teachers, and students wishing to attend are requested to write their articles as soon as possible and send their papers to 13979160090@163.com before April 15, 2022. Papers must be unpublished research results, adhere to the correct political direction and academic orientation, and comply with academic standards. Papers should generally not exceed 10,000 words (including notes) and must be accompanied by 3–5 keywords and an abstract of approximately 300 words. Citations and historical materials must be accurate and rigorous, with sources clearly indicated (please refer to Marxist Studies for formatting).
When submitting, please be sure to mark the submission with the phrase "Conference Paper Submission" (会议征文). At the end of the text, please attach a brief author biography, email address, and contact phone number. The conference affairs team will organize a paper review committee composed of relevant experts to evaluate the submissions. Formal invitation letters will be sent out by April 30 for all papers selected through the review process.

V. Other Matters The conference does not charge a registration fee. Transportation and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participants, while meal expenses during the conference will be covered by the organizers. The time and format of the meeting may be adjusted according to the situation of the pandemic.
