Call for Papers: The 9th Scientific Socialism Forum of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences
The 20th National Congress of the Party was a profoundly significant convention held at a critical moment as we embark on the new journey to build a modern socialist country in all respects [1]. It holds landmark significance in the history of the Party, the history of New China, the history of reform and opening up, the history of the development of socialism, and the history of the development of the Chinese nation. To deeply study, implement, and apply the spirit of the 20th National Congress, to systematically research and interpret Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and to enhance academic exchange among scientific socialism researchers across the country, the 9th National Scientific Socialism Forum—jointly organized by the Institute of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Nanjing Normal University—is scheduled to be held at Nanjing Normal University from November 18 to 20, 2022. We are now soliciting papers from academic colleagues nationwide and welcome all to attend based on their submissions.
I. Forum Theme Study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party.
II. Time and Location Forum Time: November 18–20, 2022. Registration on the 18th, formal sessions on the 19th, and departure on the 20th. (Specific arrangements will be adjusted in a timely manner according to national pandemic prevention and control requirements.) Forum Location: Nanjing Normal University.

- The successive leaps in the Sinicization of Marxism [2] and their internal logic.
- The rich connotations of the "Two Combinations" [3] in the Sinicization of Marxism.
- The original contributions of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
- Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the essence of Chinese culture and the Chinese spirit in our times.
- Important discourses by Xi Jinping on scientific socialism.
- Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the world socialist movement.
- Contemporary Chinese Marxism and 21st-century Marxism.
- The contemporary connotation and world significance of the new form of human civilization.

IV. Submission Requirements This forum adopts a "participation via paper submission" model. We sincerely invite teaching and research personnel from national research institutions, institutions of higher education, and Party and government departments to actively submit manuscripts. Deadline: October 31, 2022. Manuscript Requirements:
- Submissions must maintain a correct political stance, have a clear theme, be logically rigorous, and integrate historical facts with theoretical analysis [4]. They should reflect academic rigor and innovation, possessing high theoretical and practical value.
- Papers must be original, unpublished works of no fewer than 8,000 words, utilizing footnotes. For specific formatting, please refer to the style guide of Marxism Studies (Mǎkèsīzhǔyì Yánjiū). The main text should be preceded by an abstract (approx. 300 words), keywords (3–5), a brief author biography, and detailed contact information.

No registration fee will be charged for this forum. Participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation expenses. Following selection by the expert review committee, the organizing committee will issue invitation letters to selected authors by November 6. Higher-quality papers will also be selected for recommended publication in journals such as Marxism Studies and World Socialist Studies.
