Strengthen the Holistic, Systematic, and Theoretical Research of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Eraof

On May 11, Shi Taifeng, President and Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), conducted a research inspection of the Academy’s Library of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Documentation Center. He emphasized that the primary political task must be the study, research, promotion, and interpretation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and that scholarly efforts must continuously strengthen the holistic, systematic, and academic ^[1] research and interpretation of this important thought. Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group Gao Xiang accompanied the inspection.

He listened to an introduction regarding the library's status, watched a demonstration of the library’s database operations, and gave full credit to the achievements of the library and its database construction. At the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Documentation Center, Shi Taifeng learned in detail about the center’s online data, user numbers, and overseas promotion. He pointed out that integrating philosophical and social science documentary information resources and building an informatized platform not only provides high-quality and convenient research conditions for experts and scholars, but also provides a foundational guarantee for the innovative development of the philosophy and social sciences enterprise. Efforts should be made to build the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Documentation Center into a "domestically top-tier and internationally first-class" informatized platform for philosophy and social sciences research, contributing to expanding the dissemination and influence of Chinese scholarship and promoting the movement of academic achievements toward the world stage.
