Call for Papers: The 10th Scientific Atheism Forum

To implement the spirit of the 2021 National Conference on Religious Work [1] and to welcome the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Party, the "10th Scientific Atheism Forum," hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Institute of Marxism Studies and Heilongjiang University, is scheduled to be held in Harbin in mid-to-late September 2022. The forum is funded by the CASS Marxism Subject Construction and Theoretical Research Project.

This forum is co-organized by the CASS Research Center for Science and Atheism, the Chinese Atheism Society, and the Heilongjiang University School of Marxism. The theme is: "Propaganda and Education of Marxist Atheism in China in the New Era: Experience and Outlook."

The forum will conduct discussions centered on the following topics:

  1. Discourses of classic Marxist authors on propaganda and education regarding atheism.
  2. The century-long history of Marxist atheism propaganda and education by the Communist Party of China.
  3. Discourses and policies of the Party Central Committee regarding Marxist atheism propaganda and education in the New Era.
  4. The practice of Marxist atheism propaganda and education work in the New Era.
  5. Targeted strategies for carrying out Marxist atheism propaganda and education.

The forum adheres to the principle of "entry by submission" [2]. We warmly welcome experts and scholars from research institutions, institutions of higher education, Party schools, and cadres' academies nationwide, as well as comrades from practical work departments, to actively submit papers and attend. Submitted papers must be original, unpublished works and should include an abstract, keywords, author biography, mailing address, postal code, contact telephone number, and email address.
